Clubhouse

The flagship of the Property Owners Association is the Clubhouse, built in March 2017.  The building houses the golf Pro Shop, the Oak & Anchor Restaurant and Bar (both open to the public), the River Room ballroom, a well-equipped fitness center, a spacious and relaxing library/game room, a boardroom, and the association’s business office.  Both the upper and lower decks/porch boast views of the Intracostal Waterway, nearby islands and the Atlantic Ocean that are some of the most spectacular you will find in Brunswick County. Please note that all areas of the club house are monitored by surveillance cameras 24/7.

River Room

Located on the upper level of the Clubhouse is the River Room ballroom.  Many Lockwood Folly events, meetings and golf functions are held in the River Room each month.  It is also available for rent by Lockwood Folly property owners and the general public for wedding receptions, retirement parties, birthday parties, business meetings and other events.  The space can accommodate up to 200 people and is equipped with a podium, sound system, projection screen and dance floor.  Please contact the POA office at 910-842-5666 for information on renting the River Room for your event.

Library

The beautiful library is available for card games, board games, and meetings, as well as being a comfortable place to relax and read a book from our well-stocked lending library which abides by the honor system.

Fitness Center

The fitness center is located in the Clubhouse and is open to all property owners and resident family members who are 16 years of age or older, or 14 -15 years old accompanied by a parent.  No one under 14 is permitted in the fitness center.  To use the fitness center, POA members must sign a Waiver and Release Form and a User’s Agreement and return them to the office.  Entry to the fitness center requires a fob or key card. Guests (visiting family members and friends who are at least 16 years of age and who have signed a Waiver and Release Form) must be accompanied at all times by the keycard-holding POA member.

Oak & Anchor Restaurant

The Oak & Anchor is open to the public.  Come over and enjoy a delicious meal with a wonderful view.  Join the Oak & Anchor email club to be notified of any upcoming menu specials.  The restaurant staff can also cater your special private events.

Pool House

The Pool House, which was the original Clubhouse, is a smaller venue with the same spectacular views as the River Room.  It can be reserved for games or activities or rented for a private event. Please note that all areas of the Pool House are monitored by surveillance cameras 24/7.

Pool

The Lockwood Folly pool is one of the most beautiful amenities boasting fabulous views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Lockwood Folly River.  Entrance requires a fob or key card.  Property owners can obtain key cards or fobs at the POA office.  The pool is open year-round from DAWN to DUSK, as per county regulations, and is available for use by property owners who are in good standing, and their guests, including those renting (short or long term).

Game Room

The game room is located on the ground level of the Pool House.  Inside you will find a beautiful pool table, air hockey, ping pong, table shuffleboard, and all the equipment needed to play each.

Ackley Park

Named after a former POA president, Ackley Park contains a gazebo, basketball court, bocce court, tennis courts, pickleball courts, corn hole boards, and horseshow pits.  Game accessories are stored in the wooden boxes inside the gazebo, and are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Tennis Courts

Two beautifully maintained tennis courts are located in Ackley Park.  Organized men’s and women’s tennis groups play regularly each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  The women usually start at 8AM and the men follow.  Other than these times the tennis courts are open to Lockwood Folly property owners and their guests on a first-come first-served basis.

Pickleball Courts

Two fenced in pickleball courts are located next to the basketball court and are available for use by all Lockwood Folly property owners and their guests.  Quiet paddles are required.

Fishing Docks

The fishing docks (stationary and floating) are open to Lockwood Folly property owners 24/7.  A valid North Carolina fishing license is required when fishing.

Boat Ramp

The Boat Ramp is available for use by property owners in Lockwood Folly.  It offers quick access to the Lockwood Folly River and the Intracoastal Waterway.  An easy-to-use kayak launch is located at the dock.

Storage Yard

Boats, trailers, and RVs can be stored in the Boat Storage Yard for an annual fee.  Once a slot becomes available you will be given a key for entry.  There are a limited number of spaces available.  Please contact the POA Board member in charge to be added to the wait list.

Golf

The Lockwood Folly Country Club (LFCC), recipient of the “Best of Brunswick” honors for several years including 2023, offers stunning views along the Lockwood Folly River and Intracostal Waterway.  The course is an 18-hole Williard Byrd designed championship golf course that offers year-round play.  Memberships are available and provide access to preferred tee times, free use of the driving range, choice of golf rounds packages, and discounts at both the Pro Shop and the Oak & Anchor Restaurant.
